Dillon Montana Post Office

The brick post office in Dillon Montana was built in 1935. Dillon was established in 1880 by the Union Pacific Railroad to service the Montana gold mining area. Dillion is home to the University of Montana Western.

Hyde Park Post Office

Built of fieldstone in the Dutch Colonel Revival style, the building was completed in 1941. Franklin Roosevelt influenced this design of his home town post office as well as several others in Duchess County, New York.

 

The lobby contains several paintings by Olin Dows depicting the local history of the area.
